What is a B Corporation?
When it comes to business, there’s the idea that, as a business owner, you have to choose between making money or contributing positively to a particular context.
This dichotomy is false because you don’t have to choose between securing your personal livelihood or running your business in accordance with your values. You can do both. It sounds great, but in practice, how do I apply this to running my business? This is where the B Corp comes into play.
Let’s start by defining what a B Company is
The concept originated in the United States in 2006 and is gaining ground among entrepreneurs worldwide. A Certified B Corporation is a company that has voluntarily met high standards of social and environmental performance. It is a company that deliberately establishes high-level rules and standards, which it develops independently and encompasses the company’s impact on key areas, such as employees, the community, the environment, and customers.
B Corporations undergo a rigorous certification process to improve their social and environmental performance. They do not simply claim to be good companies or socially responsible companies, as many other organizations do.
They are committed to using the company as a tool to promote good practices, and they are willing to have these practices independently evaluated by a third party and to make their results transparent.

We want to leave a positive mark on our country, and that’s why supporting various environmental areas is part of our mission: environmental management systems, animal behavior and welfare, wildlife, native flora and vegetation, and environmental education. In this way, at CicloFauna we believe in the access and importance of environmental education for all people and this has led us to carry out activities even in controversial sectors such as prisons.
